Wellbeing Ambassadors
In September of each year, children from Years 3 – 6 are invited to apply to become a Wellbeing Ambassador for the school. The role of the Wellbeing Ambassador is to contribute to making the school a safe and happy place to be by providing the children with information on mental health as well as creating a quiet space for them to enjoy at lunchtime where they can take part in many activities that promote wellbeing. A team was chosen who we felt represented and understood our core value of kindness and for their ability to spread positivity. Good mental health and wellbeing helps our children to learn effectively, cope with day-to-day challenges and develop into resilient young adults and this is a passion of all of our Wellbeing Ambassadors.
The Wellbeing Team were very active in ensuring the Wellbeing Room was kept up and running at lunchtime but they had a vision for improving the appearance of the room as well as the resources that were provided. They planned and held a cake sale after school in the Spring term and managed to raise funds to put towards making this vision a reality. The Wellbeing Team this year will take this project forward and will help to improve the space that was so well set up by the former team.
