Over the past few weeks, the children in years 1 to 6 have been participating in a Spelling Bee competition. The competition is run by the Enfield Town Schools Partnership and so far has consisted of a class written spelling quiz and an oral spelling challenge. This has resulted in just 2 children from each year group qualifying to represent the school in the semi-finals. The children were organised into phases (infant, lower key stage 2, upper key stage 2) and competed against a number of local schools. The winners then go on to the partnership final.
We were proud to host the partnership semi-final which included St. Andrew's Southgate and Lavender Primary, along with our school. Despite losing out to St. Andrew's, our children performed admirably. Well done to all our spellers!
