Mass, Assembly and Rosary Rotas
Parents are invited to attend Friday Mass each week. Please see the rota below for classes leading the Mass. Parents should enter and leave through the hall doors in the junior playground.
- Children are asked to arrive from 8.15am so that Mass can start promptly at 8.25am. Children are to go straight to their classroom where their teacher or another adult will meet them.
- If you have been chosen to be an altar server or reader, please ensure that you arrive at 8.15am prompt to allow time to get you ready/practise. This also gives staff enough time for alternative arrangements to be made in the case of children arriving late or for an unexpected absence.
- If the bell goes at 9am and mass overruns, please be assured that teachers will not mark your child/children in late, so there is no need to leave the hall whilst mass is still going on.
- In the hall, parents, siblings and other relatives are asked to please sit on the side nearest the doors to the Junior playground so that the children leading the class are able to sit together.
Parents are also invited to attend our class assemblies when their children are taking part and below is a rota for assemblies. On these occasions, parents should enter the school via the hall doors in the junior playground. Assemblies are always on a Wednesday, unless notified otherwise. Assembly begins soon after 9am. Any changes to the Assembly Rota will be published in the School Newsletter.
We ask parents to respect the spiritual nature of assemblies (as they are acts of worship) by not taking photographs or video of the children.
Rosary takes place during the months of May and October. Children and staff share a decade of the Rosary during the school day with each class having a turn.
Details of the Rosary will be published each day on DB Primary.
There will be a different document uploaded every school day to help you with praying the Rosary with your family.
