We are very proud of our curriculum. In meeting the demands of the national curriculum, we ensure that the curriculum is broad, balanced, relevant, differentiated and inclusive. We aim to prepare the children for secondary school and for adult life and work in a meaningful and enjoyable way.

We are a school recognised for high standards. Those are achieved, not by teaching that is aimed at test success in a narrow band of subjects, but on excellence throughout the curriculum. We have a special place for music, sport and languages in our school and these lessons are taught throughout by specialist teachers.

RE has a special place at the heart of our curriculum as it lays the foundation for how we live our lives as a school community.

The children are taught in mixed-ability, year group classes, with three classes in each year group. The curriculum in these classes is enhanced by a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities and planned creative days/ weeks.

For specific information about our curriculum, please contact your child’s class teacher, a phase leader or contact the school office by email.
