How to Get Involved

Thank you for being part of our story and helping us shape the future of St George’s Catholic Primary School.

Warm Welcome for Tony and Alan from the Class of 1951

In Spring 2024, we were delighted to recently welcome back two of our former pupils, Tony and Alan, who left St George’s Catholic Primary School in 1951. Now living in Gloucestershire, Tony and Alan were among the many children who attended St George’s from St Joseph’s Home, Enfield.

Their visit was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the rich history of our school. Tony and Alan were genuinely impressed by how much the school has evolved over the years, especially appreciating the strong school ethos that continues to guide us today. They were particularly touched by how welcoming and engaged our current pupils were during their visit.

The children were captivated by the stories Tony and Alan shared about the local area’s past, including vivid recollections of wartime defences that once stood in the school playground. These memories brought history to life for our pupils and deepened their connection to our community.

We are also incredibly grateful to Tony and Alan for their generous donation to the school, which will help us continue to provide a nurturing and inspiring environment for all our pupils.

We look forward to welcoming more alumni back to share their stories and celebrate the ongoing journey of St George’s.
