Harvest Festival Assembly led by Class 6S
Our Harvest Festival took place on the 9th October 2018. Children brought in an item of food each to donate to our Harvest. We gathered up all the food from the classes, most of which will go to elderly people or people who are lonely. Not only are we sharing food with people, but we are also making them feel valued and pleased that we are thinking of them. During our assembly we told a story about sharing with others, we read a beautiful poem, said prayers and sang traditional Harvest hymns and songs. We had so much food, that there was enough to donate to our parish food bank and also extra to be shared in the local area. We were pleased that our Harvest Festival turned out really well. We would like to say a huge thank you to all the parents that donated the food and an extra big thank you to the parents who helped to deliver it.
