Black History Month at St George's

Celebrating Black History with a School-wide Homework Project

To mark Black History Month this October, all the children at St George's, were invited to take part in a school-wide homework activity. The children were asked to research and present information about an inspirational figure, of their choice, from Black History. The response to the task was phenomenal and the quality of some of the work produced was really outstanding -  the most informative and eye catching pieces are now on display in the main school corridor. We hope the children enjoy the display and learn from each other about the inspirational people they depict.  Thank you children for your hard work!

Celebrating Black History Month in October is just one of the things we are doing as a school to make sure our teaching and learning reflects and represents diversity throughout our curriculum throughout the year.
