‘If there is one thing that I feel that the school should do to improve, it would be this…’
In our recent parents’ questionnaire, around 20% of the comments in response to this question said that communication could improve.
In order for us to make things better for you, below is a brief outline of how the school currently communicates with parents, then a space for you to state what more effective communication would look like.
Newsletter – a weekly newsletter is distributed to parents with general information about school life
Letter – letters are emailed to parents for specific, important information
Curriculum – a termly summary of learning for each class in on the school website, as well as a general outline of each subject area. Certain aspects of learning have special parents meetings, such as phonics for reception and year 1, story café for reception, years 1 and 2, and a maths café for year 3. Year 6 parents have a SATs information evening.
Dates – dates are available on the school website ‘parents’ information > calendar’. Many dates are available for up to the end of the school year. Mass, assembly and Rosary dates are on the school website at the beginning of each term.
