This week Reception invited parents and carers to join us in reading The Three Little Pigs at our Story cafés. This was an opportunity for parents to see how we explore and develop stories through different activities. Some of the activities involved threading and playdough to strengthen fine motor skills in order to develop the children's writing; puppets for role-play to support children in retelling the story; and word building activities to help the children in applying their Phonics knowledge to make key words from the story. All of the resources used are accessible for parents to use at home!
