The Great Fire of London - Year 2

Year 2's Autumn 1 topic - The Great Fire of London.

The children thoroughly enjoyed this topic and were busy making their own models of houses from 1666 in our art lessons. They used cardboard boxes, tissue paper, construction paper and straw for the roofs. On Tuesday 2nd November, with the help of Tony and Giovanni, we recreated the Great Fire of London in the Junior Playground. The children watched excitedly as their houses were set alight, and they were amazed to see the pieces of ash fill the sky. The children said it was something they would never forget.
