Constructing Bridges

Constructing Bridges in Year 3 for our Science 'STEM' Project

On Wednesday 12th May, we had a whole day dedicated to constructing bridges, which the children had researched, planned and designed for on previous weeks. The children worked in groups of 3 or 4 and worked on their teamwork skills to build a bridge with certain criteria. The bridge needed to be 80cm in length and 20 cm in width. Some groups also constructed their bridge with a height of 30cm or more!

Some groups also used lightbulbs to light up their bridge! Some even used magnets to hold their ramps up. They all worked so incredibly hard, and so we wanted to share these photos with you!
