Fr Daniel Humphreys is the Parish Priest at Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St. George, Enfield.  His assistant priest is Fr Patrick von de Vurst.  We are fortunate to have an incredibly strong relationship with our Parish and both Fr Daniel and Fr Patrick regularly come into school to celebrate Mass, lead Liturgies and support children with their religious knowledge and understanding during RE lessons.

During the school year, children from Years 1 – 6 lead the 10:00am mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St. George.  Children also attend Mass and Liturgies during Holy Days of Obligation, as well as other Liturgical events such as Ash Wednesday.  Children participate through Mass through reading, offering the gifts during the Offertory procession and serving as altar servers. During Advent and Lent, children in Key Stage 2 attend church for Reconciliation. For those who are not Catholic, the opportunity to talk to one of the priests, if they wish to do so, is always present.

We celebrate the children receiving the Sacrament of First Holy Communion through a special celebration Mass where the children are invited to wear their communion outfit and attend with the family. Those who have not made their First Holy Communion are invited to join mass wearing their best party clothes- we are always welcoming and inviting of all the children in our school community.
