The curriculum offered to children in our school is based on the requirements of the National Curriculum and also implements the main ideas expressed in the Enfield Curriculum Statement. We aim to offer a broad, relevant, balanced and differentiated curriculum in accordance with each child's needs which will eventually prepare the children for adult life and work and which will provide a sound foundation for continuing education.
The children are taught in mixed ability, year group classes. There are three classes in each year group (Four classes in year 5). Although most time in our school is spent on acquiring knowledge, skills and understanding in the core curriculum i.e. R.E., Maths, Science, Literacy and P.E.; these core areas are developed along with the foundation subjects ( Music, Art, PE, Humanities and Design and Technology), so that the whole curriculum can be covered.
