Snowy Experiment - Year 3

If you put a coat on a snowman will he melt more quickly or more slowly? Ask 3M.

That is the question 3M asked themselves with our snowy weather last week.  They took the opportunity to make small snowmen and test them in class.

Some of the childrens thoughts about the activity were:

He (the snowman) should stay cold becaused the coat insulates the snowman to stop him melting. (Mia)

In the end the snow got squishy because it melted.  (Liam)

I had fun but I wish I'd brought my gloves.  I kept saying "bad idea" to myself. (Aoife)

We did the experiment but we didn't get the answer we expected. (Christian)

Different materials gave different results. (Bobby)
