On Monday 21st May,  Prime Minister Theresa May hosted a teachers reception at 10 Downing Street. The reception was to thank them for their hard work and to meet those who do so much for the education of children across the UK. The Prime Minister took time to speak to teachers from all regions, before she delivered a short speech thanking them for all their work.

Mrs Murphy was invited to the reception because she has been working with the DfE on recommendations to tackle teachers' workload. The reception was held to celebrate the outstanding work of teachers. St George's is an outstanding school and we were complimented by a member of the DfE on our excellent results.

Mrs Murphy said "It was an honour to be invited and to represent the school at this event."
